Downloadables Importer gets 3.8 Compatible

Hi everyone,
So I finally got a chance to update my Downloadables Importer, which is great. It now works ONLY on wp-e-commerce 3.8 so if you are running wp-e-commerce 3.7.x and you want to use my downloadables Importer please let me know I can probably pass you an old version but please note I will no longer support 3.7 versions of the Plugin. Why would you not upgrade to 3.8 anyway? It is way nicer!

New Features:
Previously if you were uploading mo3 music files, you were using the same files for previews, which isn’t the best idea. However in this version ( 1.2 ) you can add new files with ‘_preview.mp3′ appended to the file name and these will be used for your preview files.

Bug Fixes:

  • Names with ‘ and ” in them work! Strip them out of images so images still work.
  • Fix WP_DEBUG notices

Screencast
Many people have asked me how the Plugin works, and what does it do, so instead of writing a whole lot of stuff out I made a quick screencast:

  1. Hey JG

I’d love to buy your downloadables importer plugin but $$ is NOT the problem…

I would only need it if the Premium Plugin “Download Manager” sold on Getshopped.org worked… or maybe it does work, but there’s no instructions on how to get it work…

any chance you would help or guide me to a ‘how to’ page that really works?

all I see is ‘buy premium support’ which is really discouraging and dis-everything… bogus. I’m a php/wordpress dev and can do the code hacks if needed, not prob, but plugins should just work as described… on this page

    all the best

please help, so desperate to get this working

  2. Hi Jack, thats very disappointing, I will definitely have a talk to dan about the download manager plugin, I had used it for a test site once, and it seemed to work fine for me,, but of course with the amount of servers out there, you need to test these things out on a few setups…
ill see what i can do,, Ill cc you in an email..
please note however that I am not an instinct worker, I am a freelancer now ;)
    best
    jeff
