How to upgrade wp-e-commerce

There is more than one way to skin a cat (so I’ve been told) however this has nothing to do with cats and animal abuse. This is about upgrading your wp-e-commerce plugin.
This is how I upgrade my sites so I can compare the ‘functionality’ of different versions of wpec. It’s easy, and quick, and if you don’t like the new version you can roll back to the old one in a couple of steps.

1. BACKUP your DB (too many people skip this step)
2. Deactivate the plugin.
3. Through FTP rename the folder wp-e-commerce to wp-e-commerce.BAK
4. Upload the new wp-e-commerce version
5. Activate the new version.

Hope this helps some of yas.

Best
Jeff
